Jeffrey
Fallon, a native New Englander, has been creating fine art for more
than 40 years. His artistic focus has evolved and matured as he continues
to refine and redefine his vision.
Fallon
studied at the Portland School of Art with a concentration in painting.
As a student, his paintings were highly acclaimed and much sought after.
His pieces were featured in galleries and shows throughout Maine and Massachusetts.
In 1981, Fallon was awarded his MFA in painting with minors in Sculpture
and Printmaking. Never without a camera, Fallon began a serious dedication
to film and photography shortly after graduation. His gifted eye for composition
translated naturally to his photographic style and complimented his other
artistic talents. Shortly after he completed his undergraduate studies,
he was awarded a prestigious seat as an artist in residence in the Glassell
School in Houston, Texas.
While
attending Glassell, Fallon won numerous prizes, awards, and invitations
to exhibit. Such honors included a commission from Paramount Pictures
to paint a copy of Renoirs Head of Cocoa for the academy
award winning film, Terms of Endearment, starring Jack Nicholson
and Shirley Maclaine. While serving as an artist in residence at Glassell,
Fallon shared his craft with many other world-class artists, including
Erich Fischel, Julian Schnabel, David Salle, Judy Phaff and Frank Stella.
Jeffrey
Fallon is noted for an eclectic style reflective of his periodic travels
to the southwestern high deserts and Rocky Mountains, Northern California,
Cape Cod and coastal New England. His works have been exhibited in art
museums, schools and galleries throughout the United States. In Massachusetts,
his paintings are prominently displayed at the United States Federal Reserve
Bank and Symphony Hall in Boston and his most recent exhibit was through
the New
Bedford Art Museum. Fallon is currently available for privately commissioned
work and his highly collectable completed paintings and prints are available
directly from the artist.
Fallon
currently resides in a historic farmhouse, working in his barn loft studio
in Marshfield Hills, between the scenic beaches of Cape Cod and historic
Boston, Massachusetts.
